The Foodstore Workshop

In The Foodstore workshop we essentially aim to promote healthy cooking and eating and an overall awareness of good nutrition. We supply a range of products for Gullivers Farm Shop deli counter - including pies, cakes, lasagne, chillis, quiches and healthy salads. See the Gullivers FarmShop Facebook page for latest information about food offerings, etc.

We offer a variety of activities including cooking, baking, selling food products and processing jams and chutneys using the organic produce from our market garden and farm.

On a weekly basis we bake healthy breads and cakes and other seasonal goods and each Thursday we provide a 'Lunch Club' for about 30 people, where The Foodstore team can practice essential life skills from cooking a healthy meal to serving customers and taking payment. The lunch club costs £3 and is open to friends and the wider community. Please contact us if you would like more information.

On the farm we produce a variety of biodynamic/organic meat and in The Foodstore we look after the freezer storage and sales of our outdoor reared pork, beef and lamb. The meat is reared on the farm and butchered by our local butcher in West Moors. We sell to the public so please contact us if you are interested in buying local organic meat.

There are lots of opportunities for people to learn new skills in The Foodstore and to build up their own portfolios of work achievements and training certificates.
